Judy grew up on a working farm. She
graduated from college in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Business and worked
at a variety of part-time jobs (including free-lance writing) until she realized her children were college bound. She worked as a full-time paralegal for 27 years. Her husband of 44 years and she have
four children and seven grandchildren.
Collette graduated from college in
1970 with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education. She earned a MAT in
American History in 2005. Collette served as a representative for the state of
Kansas on the reading and writing standards’ committees and as an in-service
presenter and mentor for schools not meeting state standards. She taught
reading, writing, English and history at the middle and high school levels for
25 years. Collette lives on a fifth generational farm with her husband
of 43 years, and they have two sons and six grandchildren.
